Is the support Ease provides means tested?
Our support is not means tested, rather it is based on current circumstances of the deceased/family.
What costs would Ease help cover?
We will only make payments directly to funeral directors and the amount of payment depends on each individual case and the charities financial situation.
Is your support national?
Anyone within the UK can make a referral, however our service is primarily focused around Greater Manchester.
I can afford some of the costs but need help with the remainder?
We assess each case individually and the amount of support will depend on your current circumstances aswell as the charities financial situation.
If I request for help would the public be made aware?
No! We will maintain strict confidentiality and preserve the dignity of every one of our applicants and their families. Everything we do related to the case will be discussed with you and any appeals will always be anonymised.
Along with the funeral costs, would you provide on-going support to the family?
No, our support is strictly limited to funeral support. However, if the family requires further support we will refer them to trusted charities within the UK.
